  1. Understanding the shortcomings in washroom design shortcomings in K-12 schools. Understanding how and why washroom design impacts a student’s capacity to focus and learn in schools. Discussing the areas where improvement can be made and understanding how those improvements can be made by delving into Root Causes of poor washroom design.
  2. Understanding the required codes in bathroom design, from complying with the ADA Standards put forth by the Department of Justice as well as ADAAG adopted by the Department of Transportations. Learning about the newest Fire Safety codes - NFPA 286.
  3. Learning the optimal material choices for partitions and lockers in different physical environments within the same building. Understand the importance of picking the right product types in schools to minimize damage and limit what ends up in landfill.
  4. Learning about different types of Design Strategies to create an optimal sense of privacy and safety, improve traffic flow using good product placements, and using the appropriate products to mitigate vandalism.
