Nearly 30 years of research and experience
The year was 1964. The roofing industry had been stagnant for several decades. The challenge was to improve the performance characteristics of roofing asphalt. While searching for chemicals to improve properties of asphalt, I met Doctor Gorgati, an Italian chemist who recently invented a new roofing material, the APP modified bitumen roofing membrance. I immediately began manufacturing and marketing the product throughout Asia. Our facility was, in fact, only the second modified bitumen manufacturing facility in the world.d
