You
have done your job well by marketing your product
to a design professional who has agreed to specify
it on his next project. The next question he
would ask is “Where is your guide specification
for this product?” |
 |

Design professionals
do not write project specifications from scratch.
Instead, they use a series of templates called “master” or “guide” specification
sections—much as an attorney would prepare
a contract. |

Guide specifications
for your product must follow recommendations
published by The Construction Specifications
Institute (CSI). The sections must be correctly
numbered and structured, along with having the
correct specification language and writing style.
This way they are coordinated with the other
sections when the design professional prepares
to cover the myriad of products used on a typical
project. |

Don’t
have a guide specification? Not a problem! Our
CSI certified specifiers will prepare accurate
guide specifications for your product. |
