Denali Jones is a building enclosure engineer with a career dedicated to enclosure design, performance, and testing. After beginning his career on the manufacturing side, he transitioned into consulting, where he spent over a decade with one of North America’s leading building science firms. His work focused on developing practical, performance-driven solutions to complex enclosure challenges across a wide range of building types, including high-rise office towers, hospitals, multifamily housing, manufacturing facilities, and more.
Denali has extensive experience across all aspects of enclosure design, including roofing, glazing systems, horizontal and below-grade waterproofing, air barrier systems, and rainscreen wall assemblies with a wide variety of cladding types. He is also a recognized industry expert in whole-building air leakage testing, having contributed to the development of multiple testing standards and building code language related to air leakage performance.
Denali played a key role in developing ABAA’s whole-building air leakage testing training program and serves as the program’s lead instructor. He currently serves as ABAA’s Technical Director, where he focuses on advancing the adoption and performance of air barrier systems through committee work, technical guidance, member support, and education and training programs.
