As National Director of Business Development and Trade for California Closets, Barbara leads national B2B sales, develops and delivers Trade training to the California Closets system, and leads the California Closets Continuing Education program for Interior Designers, Architects and Builders across North America. A 20+-year veteran of the custom storage and organizational industry, Barbara partners with the Trade through active membership in ASID, AIA, NAHB and other professional organizations in the Design ad Homebuilding communities.
In her earlier career in Specialty Pharmacy, Barbara developed a deep knowledge of behavioral health conditions and treatment protocols that she combined with her expertise in organization. This served her well when she became the caretaker for her parents for 16 years – both of whom were diagnosed with two different forms of dementia. Barbara sought and discovered ways to extend her parents’ independence and preserve their dignity through creating supportive and organized environments that answered the specific needs of their individual challenges. She has a passion for working with specialty populations to design enhanced living environments that promote wellness, independence and an enhanced quality of life for residents and caregivers.
