Investigate the interplay of color and light: this in depth course explores the design impact of lighting. Color Temperature. Color Rendering Index (CRI), and Light Reflectance Value (LRV). Additionally, we'll identify problems that occur as a result of product substitution and color matching.
Shawne Townsley joined Benjamin Moore in 2016 as an Architectural and Design Representative supporting architects and designers in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and South Carolina. Shawne provides the design community with color materials and product information. She hosts industry events as well as instructs paint and coatings related education for architects, designers and universities. Shawne assists architects and designers with writing specifications for residential, commercial, institutional and healthcare projects. Shawne is a certified Master Painters Institute Architectural Coating Specialist and she is certified NACE CIP Level 1. She is a member of AIA, ASID and IIDA.
Shawne has over 18 years of experience as a design professional and project manager. She began her career at the multi-disciplinary office of Kimley-Horn and Associates. She has had the opportunity to collaborate with prominent design professionals including architects, interior designers and engineers to successfully design environments for both the public and private sectors. As project manager for the award-winning Orlando-based firm Dix.Hite + Partners, she oversaw multi-million dollar community projects. Shawne received her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University Of Georgia School Of Environmental Design.
