Color is an important part of any design and has the ability to elevate the occupants’ experience of the final product. Join us in this one-hour course as we discuss the effects color has on the physical and emotional state of occupants based on biological responses and cultural association. Participants will learn how to make impactful color selections through the Color of the Year and Color Trends palette.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the biological responses through which we process color, including the ways in which our brains shape our visual perception of color
- Recognize how color affects the physical and emotional state of occupants and how to make impactful color selections that elevate the occupants’ experience in the final design
- Analyze the many elements that contribute to emotional reactions to color, such as personal experience, cultural association, and expressive language
- Illustrate how color can be used to communicate messages and promote self-expression, especially in a contactless environment, through the Color of the Year and Color Trends palette
