Larry Acker

Larry Acker is the founder of ACT INC, established in 1992 after serving as a vice president at a billion-dollar company and consulting for international corporations. ACT INC, a U.S.-based manufacturer, specializes in the development of electronic Hot Water D'MAND KONTROLS® Systems that improve energy and water efficiency in residential, commercial, and multi-family buildings. A recognized leader in sustainable technology, Acker has dedicated over 45 years to researching energy and water conservation, earning 20 U.S. patents and trademarks. He served as one of six directors for E3 in Washington, D.C., under the U.S. Department of Energy, and was appointed to the IAMPO EGS Governing Board in 2023. A frequent international speaker and published author on sustainability, Acker has received numerous accolades, including a Certificate of Recognition from the U.S. Department of Energy. He is also deeply committed to philanthropy, serving with organizations such as the National Cristina Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.
